Foundation of folkdance group 'De Hovelingen', starting as 'Degas'. Soon they choose the more historic correct name 'De Hovelingen'. This was as such the people from Gistel got named during the middle Ages. |

Folkdance group 'Viking' gets started as a part of the VTB. The group is especially active during the 'Breughel' festivities. There is Jazz, folk dancing, rhythm-gym and flag waving. |
